Author Guidelines

Contribution format

After registration, student contributions can be submitted online as empirical, theoretical or methodological articles, as case studies or as literature comparisons. They will undergo an editorial review in consultation with the respective mentors.

The following guidelines apply to all submissions:

  • Contributions should be written as academic articles that adhere to the formal structure (abstract, research question, methodology, etc.) and citation style of the manuscript guidelines of the German Psychological Association. English-language articles must be submitted in accordance with APA7.
  • Manuscripts are accepted in German and English (British spelling preferred; however, consistency in spelling must be ensured).
  • Manuscripts should have a maximum length of 30,000 characters (including spaces; excluding bibliography), but may also be significantly shorter.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format (docx or doc format) and use a standard font (Times, Arial; font size 11pt) with 1.5 line spacing and no hyphenation or complex formatting.
  • Submissions will not be anonymised. The authors' details (name, affiliation, contact details of the corresponding author) will be recorded in the online journal's submission form. Mentors are welcome to appear as co-authors, but this is not mandatory.
  • Any graphics used must be of suitable quality and also suitable for printing in greyscale. In addition to their placement in the manuscript, they must also be provided as separate graphic files in a common format (pdf, eps, jpg). The rights for the use of any third-party graphics must be clarified.
